The regulations are issued by the organizers of the recreation and exhibition event under the name, Smart Family Meet 2021, which will take place on 04th-08th August 2021 in Germany, Czech Republic and Poland.

Smart Family Meet 2021
Smart Times events started in 2001 in Austria and the first 10 editions were organized in this beautiful country. From 2011 the event location was different each year and we are determined to keep this Smart feeling alive. Smart Times became Smart Family Meet. We can’t wait to meet again at the Smart Family Meet 2021!

Smart Family Meet 2021
”The 1st pre-event on 2021/08/04 will be in Goerlitz. And we will start in Goerlitz on 2021/08/05. That´s why you need accommodation from 2021/08/04 to 2021/08/05 in Goerlitz (german side) or in Zgorzelec (polish side). We will arrive on 2021/08/05 in Jelenia Góra. That’s why you will need accommodation from 2021/08/05 to 2021/08/08 (3 Nights) in Jelenia Góra.”

Smart Family Meet 2021
Cancelled on April 30 2021
“Smart family meet cannot take place in 2021 either.
Dear smart friends,
Unfortunately, we have to inform you today that our planned event smart family meet 2021 will not take place in August of this year.
We didn’t make this decision easy for ourselves, we would have loved to meet with all of you. But unfortunately the conditions this year do not allow an event in 3 different countries with several hundred guests.
Of course, the situation CAN relax by August, but it is by no means certain. And for the planning of an event, we urgently need planning security. And you too, dear smart friends, need planning security, which unfortunately does not currently exist.
We should now prepare for this event with all our strength at the latest. But we can’t. All hotels, restaurants, museums are closed, nobody can give us commitments at the moment. There is also a partial quarantine requirement when entering or returning from other countries. Nobody knows at the moment when this will be lifted.
Under these circumstances, it is simply impossible to organize our planned event and we have therefore decided to finally cancel our event for this year.
Waiting any longer before making this decision was also not an option for us. And you have to plan too.
Of course, we are also in contact with Daimler as a sponsor. We do not yet know to what extent the commitment to sponsorship will continue to exist in 2022. We hope to have a binding statement here by the end of May.
This will then determine the form in which the smart family meet 2022 will take place.
We definitely want to organize an event. More information on this will follow in the next few weeks.
As soon as we know this, we will write to all participants still registered from 2020 whether they would like to use the participation fee already paid for 2022 or would rather have it reimbursed. One thing is certain, nobody will lose their paid-in money.
We are also in contact with the Hotel Mercure in Jelenia Góra to agree on the options for rebooking or reimbursement. Here, too, there are delays due to illness, for which we ask for your understanding.
We know this is not nice news. But it’s better if we all meet (hopefully) healthy in 2022.
